HW_Measures Against Bird FluOur responsibility to protect ourselves against bird flu is to ensure that our Immune System is functioning as efficiently as possible. After all, our Immune System is our natural defense against all illnesses and diseases. In my opinion, I think that this is the least we should do to protect ourselves. Having balanced diets and regular exercises to boost our immune system should never be forgotten and must be practiced.
Another measure will be to avoid visiting countries with serious conditions of bird flu. Not only will this measure benefits oneself, it will also benefits those people around us, reducing their risk of contracting Bird Flu. Also, we should advice those who want to go to abort this idea. At this time, encouragement would play a very important role between each other.
Needless to say, we have to keep ourselves away from birds for this period of time. Although this is not easy as we cannot control where the birds are flying, we can still try our best to avoid them.
For those who can afford, vaccination can also help to protect them and the people surrounding them. I think that this will be the best and easiest measure as it does not requires much time and effort. However, there should always be sufficient vaccines. Any shortage of vaccines may lead to more serious consequences.
Since it is discovered that bird flu can pass through men, all shall take up the initiative to say these measures to those who are uneducated and cannot read. This will help them be more cautious about bird flu. This will help them protect themselves and at the same time reducing our risk.
Lastly, the government will play a very important role to ensure that the country is safe from bird flu. The government will have to stock up the vaccines and tell the citizens the measures through different ways. They will also have to make promises to the citizens to calm them down such that the food imported into the country is safe to consume.
In conclusion, I agree to all the measures mentioned above. We have to do our part to protect ourselves before we can protect our loved ones. We will have to unite and help one another as all these measures cannot be done by one. Every single person has to put in their little effort to fight against bird flu.
